SUSTAINABLE SYSTEM IN A CITY
: PROJECT I
In this project, we are to carry out case studies on two cities and research on both of their sustainable index. Subsequently, constructive comparison are carried out to highlight things that can be adapted and learned from the far more superior one in terms of red, blue, green, and grey infrastructure.
The cities my team and I selected are Singapore & Penang due their locality and familiarity. 4 of us were given the opportunity to carry out in depth research and we were surprised by the government initiatives that had been done and planned for the future. In short for me I became more aware with how our government as well as other countries are trying to increase our cities' sustainable index.
: PROJECT II
For this project, we were to explore predictions and forecasts on how cities on Earth is going to look like in the next 30 and so years.
In my estimation, colonising extrasolar planets is going to be human beings' next big milestone so by 30 years, simulation cities & countless research will be carried to prepare for colonisaton. I believe Mars is closest to reality given its similarity to Earth and its shorter distance.
To conclude human beings are born with a natural instinct to explore, that is the fundamental aspect that bring us to what we are today.
